I use LT for tuning and maintenance work on my '99 996 Biposto. I am very happy with his service, much more than with my previous service provider, the local OEM shop. LT's attention to detail and truthful reporting is a breath of fresh air. And his shop is meticulously clean. I highly recommend LT for Ducati service.

First, I love my duck. I love it so much that I will gladly drive over 200 miles to get it serviced properly. LT Snyder has an elevated appreciation for the "soul" that represents the wonderful marque known as Ducati. His work was thorough, complete, and he informed me during the whole process of what was needed in the way of adjustments or repairs. His opinions were absolutely correct and his workmanship could be labeled "craftsman". How many times do you get a bike back without greasy fingerprints all over it? The bike just did a 5,000 mile trip and quacked happily through the entire journey. Thanks LT.... I'm a lifetime customer.

LT, I appreciate how professional and courteous you were with regards to working on my 2000 Ducati ST4. As you know, my ST4 is not only one of my most prized possessions, she's my baby. I've had minor work performed here in Alabama and even the minor stuff was below par for a Ducati. I knew during the purchase of my bike that routine maintenance would be a requirement. However, my Ducati is like a Lamborghini, and it takes a certain love and a certain skill level to get it right. Ducati's are very precise machines and very few mechanics get it right the first time. You, my friend, are an exceptional mechanic. I love riding my bike and I love knowing that she's been repaired by someone who feels the way I do about Ducati's. If I could spare the time, I'd leave for California on her tomorrow, knowing that she would make my journey one of pure pleasure. Mark me down as a very satisfied customer.

Thanks again

I recently brought my 98' ST2 to LT for its scheduled valve adjust. Once you walk into his shop you notice that it is immaculate, and all the tools and parts are neat, organized, and clean. Just looking at his collection of bikes you can see his attention to detail.

LT only works on one bike at a time, so I could count on my bike receiving his full attention, unlike a Ducati shop that was just trying to churn out as many jobs in a day as possible. He took the time to keep me abreast as to how the bike was coming along and if other work would be necessary. It beat the hell out of one of those mass production shops!

The facts speak for themselves... I work 6 months a year and ride the other 6 months... I am what you would call an "addict" and "NO"... I will not go to "Motorcycle Riding Anonymous"!!! I average around 30000 miles a year, 99% of twisties in the GA Mountains, each mile more fun than the previous one, each mile bringing me closer to a past nightmare... the oncoming service... And then I "discovered" LT Snyder... Desmotimes... I suddenly was riding a "Swiss Clock"... a dark cloud was lifted... and as I drove the 800 miles round trip to the "Duc Clinic"... who cared! I knew it was always going to be done right! An added bonus, and so important, is also the preventive maintenance done... why wait another 3000 miles for the plates to go... or... why not go back home with the knowledge that the cycle will be well till the next service! LT... you have brought me a "peace of mind" that no other "mechanic" has brought me for the past 44 years of riding... Thanks... No one else will ever touch my Duc... and I know now that I will have to ride a "Duc" for the rest of my life... not a bad thing!!!

Sincerely...

My ST2 is my baby, and even though I'd rather crash my TL1000 than ride the ST2, I've come to appreciate the skills that LT has. Nobody else has the patience to fix the problems that seem to affect Ducatis. The darn things seem to break as your looking at them. He's the go-to guy in the Southeast for Ducatis, and I dig his skinny ass.

LT, I have put the 996 back in street configuration and have ridden it once, just a few miles. It does seem to run smoother. I am so happy to have the satisfaction of knowing the bike is now properly tuned. I look forward to 6000 more happy miles on the bike before it visits Cantonment again. As I said before, it's well worth the 11 hour drive each way to get the bike done properly. Thanks LT!! Give my best to Suzi and the cats. If you find yourself coming this way, be sure to bring your bike. We'll definitely find time and places to ride while you're here.

Thanks again LT for getting my bike straightened out. It's running better than ever. I'm sure I am not telling any of you something you didn't already know but it is so nice getting daily updates when your bike is 'in the shop' and such attention to detail. It's really refreshing to see someone treat my bike as well as, heck, better than I do. Thanks for working me in, Lt.

I wanted to thank you for the fine work you did on my bike. It runs and rides much better than it ever has. Your attention to detail is incredible to say the least and it really shows. I can tell that you treated my bike as if it were your own and that is a mark of a true professional. As well, I am thankful for your valuable insight and candor. I really appreciate you taking my problem, making it yours, and fixing it!

Firstly, I do appreciate the care and attention to detail you expended when servicing the scoot. In my experience it has been rare to get one back after a service that does not look worse for wear, not to speak of bits and pieces pre-positioned for jettisoning during the next ride. The scoot was not only nice and clean (waxed?) but my subsequent tinkering (more later) revealed that everything (and we know that there was a lot of work going on with this extensive service) appeared to be properly re-secured/re-routed/re-attached....nice work!

Got to ride a bit Saturday eve/Sunday morn. Good tune-up! Seems like you hit the sweet numbers. On the power it's been pretty much transformed. Much smoother power delivery and seemingly more grunt to boot.

I wanted to drop you a message before you took off for parts unknown and let you know that the ST's performance and manners are truly wonderful! Everything works well and other than the worn clutch, it is actually quiet. I rode for about 150 miles Saturday evening with a buddy and the bike performed better than I had anticipated, with most of my exit speeds from curves and corners up quite a bit from previously. Thanks much for your perseverance and good work.

-- Keith Forehand, Chipley FL

NOTE: Keith had to bring his bike back due to a leaking oil line crush washer. I replaced the washer and his worn clutch and the problems were solved.

The Monster is fantastic! Plus, she looks killer (an added bonus). I had a chance this past weekend to finally get out and do quite a bit of riding. I'm pretty amazed by the total transformation. I taught these concepts in physics, but to actually feel it on a bike was a major 10+ on the grin factor scale. And to think she's just an 800! Vertical to lean like nobody's business. She's noticeably quicker, both in acceleration and in the braking departments. Perfect!

I first knew of LT from reading Motorcycle Consumer News in the late '90s. If you read much of his stuff you would have to think, "This guy likes to do things the right way". Then I find out this guy is a DUC NUT! How cool is that? There's really not a whole lot I can add to what the guys above have said. I also believe that LT treats every Duc like it was his own. LT asked me why I didn't have a battery tender lead on my 916. I said " well, blah, blah, blah". I got the bike home & went to hook up the charger & find I now have a pigtail for the battery tender installed. No charge($)- he didn't even tell me he put it on there! How many guys have you had work on ANYTHING you've owned, let alone motorcycles, that take care of you like that?

One thing I don't think was mentioned by any of the satisfied Ducati owners above is cost. Reading all this positive customer feedback, you're probably thinking you'll have to pay top dollar to get this guy to work on your Ducati. WRONG! LT is very fair with his pricing. After 10+ years of owning Ducatis, I will say LT is the best deal I've had for my service dollars. DesmoTimes is 500 miles from my house & right now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to get my ST4s up there for the 6k service. LT is a Duc lovers BEST friend!!

LT, the bike runs great, I just wanted to say thanks again for your great service, and your professionalism.

LT, I put over 100 miles on my bike since I got it back last Saturday and happy to say it is running very well. Very smooth without a hiccup out of it. I think it was well worth the extra mileage to have it serviced there by you.

I ordered Ferracci slip-ons for my ST2 along with the carbon fiber rear fender. Can't remember what exactly I ordered but Ferracci sent Titanium pipes. These not only look good but bring my Duc into "Mean and Hungry" status. I love my bike and glad to have LT as my Duc Doc.

Kim Cannon - Navarre, FL.

Note: Kim's ST was previously owned by another customer. I've been servicing the bike for years, and the ST has almost 40,000 miles.

LT,

I Installed the clutch this afternoon in about 90 minutes. Wow! Tight quality fit that still has the Ducati dry clutch noise but in a dignified manner. You may want to emphasize that a bit more on your web site because I know it cost you a sale from one guy that thought it was totally quiet. Yes, I remembered to keep all the plates aligned as per the marks from the factory with the basket. Nice feel from the get go as I put about 30 miles on it this evening.

The old clutch/basket...yikes. Referencing your .020 maximum gap from your book, I can't believe it was ever that close. The gaps measured closer to .040 but about half the friction material was still left though on each plate. No wonder it sounded like a bunch of coins in a glass jar. My exhaust note is much more satisfying now. The two deep metal plates had a bit of rust on them which was kinda unexpected but the hub looked in good shape.

Put about 150 miles on the ST4s this afternoon to Crestview and back on an errand. That clutch now, um, is not up to par by comparison. I'll regear (I hate having to cruise at 90+ just to use 6th gear; okay, I don't hate it, but it bites in traffic) and rebuild that pack from the best parts of the two I have now this weekend I guess. Gotta wait, unfortunately, before I dump another nice one like this in there.

Thanks again. Everything was super high quality and ultra easy to install...as advertised.

LT, I know you were eager to hear back from me on what I thought of how my bike was running after picking it up today since I couldn’t test ride it before I left. It’s really a shame that it wasn’t running when I brought it in to you; you have no idea the type of transformation you performed. That’s not to say I didn’t have a solid running bike before you worked on it; it was; very solid right up till the point the electrical gremlins got it anyway. That said; I was really looking forward to getting in the saddle and seeing what my hard earned money had bought me; what I found I was totally unprepared for.

So the story goes something like this. Four hour ride home pulling a trailer with various stops to eat; bathroom breaks and the like only to find out when I pull up in my driveway that my wife has invited friends over and ‘we” have company. So much for getting in a ride right now. Well as the evening wears on my wife reaches for a cigarette and finds an empty pack. Here’s my chance; I quickly volunteer to go fetch some from the store around the corner; I’m sure by now you see where this is going. Yep; keys; wallet; helmet and I’m out the door. My quick jaunt around the corner to pick up some cigarettes turns into a way too short 15 minute ride. The first word that came to mind as I twisted the throttle coming out of the apex of that first turn is WOW. First gear; 5k on the tach; bringing the bike back to center; a quick blip to about 1/3 throttle and to my surprise the front wheel starts heading skyward (yes you warned me). For the next 15 minutes I had one of the most enjoyable rides I’ve ever had. Hours later I still have a grin on my face.

LT, I cannot thank you enough, the rotors are great, I knew there was a vibration not quite right, you paid attention to every detail, even replaced my overflow line, thanks for leaving the word Italy in tact. The Bike is truely tuned just as you described, especially through take off.

Thanks for my brand new Ducati.

I am back to having fun.

Thanks for helping me out on the rotors, I will not forget that.

LT, Just a short note to say thanks for the transformation of my Multi. The 6M service plus the complete Saintune system, Power Card and Full Monty clutch have transformed my bike. The acceleration is beyond what I expected. The bike accelerates strong in the first 4 gears with no flat spots off idle through 8,000 + RPM's. Due to roads in the areas I have ridden I can't comment of 5th and 6th beyond no flat spots and 110 MPH.

Thanks so much. You will see me again and again. Not a threat but a promise. When I spend money with you I get what I pay for.

Best Regards,

Larry Swift - New Orleans, LA
