I've been using a throttlemeister on my Ducks for the past decade. I use them for 2 reasons; first to reduce vibration and second to reduce fatigue during long rides. The throttlemeister works as a throttle lock. Once mounted, you turn the whole bar end in the same direction as opening the throttle. A piston moves in and out of the Throttlemeister and puts friction against the throttle tube, which in turn counteracts the throttle return spring. When installed properly, the Throttlemeister will not completely lock the throttle, you can always override the Throttlemeister in any situation. If you need to stop quickly you can just grab the throttle and rotate it. Installation is a snap, and the throttlemeister will last the life of the bike (provided you keep the bike upright, that is). The throttlemeister comes in two weights. I use the heavy weight to absorb more vibration. The heavy bar end weighs 2 ounces more and is .4" longer than the regular bar end. The throttlemeister also comes in 4 finishes - brushed aluminum color, polished ($15 extra), black wrinkle finish ($10 extra), and milled black finish ($20 extra). Application Chart from Throttlemeister. These kits are for the stock handlebars/clip-ons. Throttlemeister has inserts for Cyclecat brand clip-ons. If you have cyclecat bars, put a note in the customer comment section during checkout.
