Paulimoto
Vented Clutch Covers - $175 - Gold, Silver or Black. Don't be fooled
by thin, water-jet cut imitations. This cover is designed to take a licking
and keep on ticking. Made from beefy billet 6061-T6 aluminum.
Q&A:
1. There
are a lot of clutch covers. Why do you sell Paulimoto Clutch Covers?
Yes,
there are a lot of clutch covers. Speedymoto, Cyclecat and Paulimoto are
what I call premium covers. They are solidly built and premium priced.
Of the 3, Paulimoto is the most reasonably priced.
2. I've
seen other clutch covers that are far cheaper? Do you recommend them?
Recently,
eBay and other etailers have flooded the market with open clutch covers
costing @ $90. They are not very crash-worthy, and I don't put them on
my bike unless I have frame sliders or similar equipment to shield the
clutch housing. Additionally, many of them don't protect a rider's legs.
Loose fitting pants legs and socks can get shredded by the spinning pressure
plate/springs.
3.
Does the 1/2 vented black cover provide crash-protection?
No, the
1/2 vented black cover does not provide crash protection. It is intended
for use on bikes with frame sliders or other crash protection. That being
said, it does provide protection from pants legs getting sucked into the
path of the spinning pressure plate/springs.
