The stock top triple clamp on Ducatis is an anodized aluminum piece. It works fine, but we've got a better one from Speedy Moto. Take a block of 6061 aluminum, milled it out to look like a 749/999 top triple clamp, anodize it black or titanium color and you get a triple clamp that is stronger than the stock one and looks far better. The Speedy Moto triple clamp offers 3 advantages:

1. Offers up to 20mm (~3/4) of added height to the stock clip-ons, providing better ergonomics and control.

2. Further enhances ergonomics by offering a 15-degree range of bar sweep from the stock clip-ons.

3. Strengthens the front end by spreading the top clamping points of the forks further away from the lower clamps, reducing fork flex.


Simple 5 minute install -- remove the steering damper, loosen the 3 top triple clamp pinch bolts, pull off the old triple clamp and install ours. Dishes done. I've got the Speedymoto triple clamp on my 999, 748, 1098 and SS and they look great.
