The AFAM
Quick Change Hub and Sprocket
This anodized, all billet
aluminum carrier allows the rider to quickly change rear sprockets without
the need to remove the entire hub.
Q&A:
1. What
is the advantage of a quick change hub?
A quick
change hub allows the sprocket on 748-998 superbikes, and MTS, Mh900e
and S2R bikes to be changed without removing the entire hub. Simply loosen
chain tension, unbolt the outer sprocket and remove it. The carrier comes
with the bolts to fasten the sprocket.
2. Will
a lighter hub make a performance difference?
Aftermarket
hubs are lighter. Lower weight means lower rotating mass, which means
quicker acceleration. The difference won't be as pronounced as lightening
the clutch, flywheel or switching to lightweight wheels, but there will
be a difference.
3.
What are the advantages of the AFAM hub over
other hubs?
The AFAM has several features
that make it a superior product - 1: tabs in the back of the cush drive
wells to prevent the cush bolts from backing out 2: a superior fit and
finish.
3.
Where can I find sprockets to fit the hub?
The hub comes with an AFAM
steel quick-change sprocket. Specify tooth count and pitch (520 or 525)
when ordering.
