These inexpensive brackets for the 1997-2003 Ducati ST-Series allow the upper and mid fairing panels to be connected with dzus fasteners. Instructions included for installing the brackets and modifying the mid-fairing panel. Two tabs need to be removed from the mid-fairing panel. Dzus fasteners not included. You can purchase matching male dzus fasteners here and female dzus fasteners here. These brackets will NOT work on Post-2003 ST models.

1. How are these brackets made?

The brackets are cut out of stainless steel sheet metal.

2. What tools are required to install the brackets?

The brackets are installed with 3mm and 4mm allen wrenches and an 8mm socket (to remove the fairing) and a dremel tool (to modify two tabs on each fairing mid-panel.

3. How would you rate the difficulty of the install?

I'd rate it a 2 out of 5 - a five minute install once the fairings are removed. Instructions are provided.

4. Does the kit include Dzus fasteners?

No, but the male dzus fasteners for this application are available here and the female ones here

5. Why don't you include Dzus fasteners?

Because not everybody wants to convert to dzus fasteners.

6. What do the brackets do?

The brackets fill the void between the trailing mid-panel fairing support and the forward support. This allows dzus fasteners to be used. The end result is that the mid-fairing can then be removed with the lowers.
