Ever since ethanol first appeared in US Fuels, I've heard stories about engine and injection problems. The problem is that motors are not designed to withstand the latest fuel additives. Ethanol damages seals - including orings, valve seals. There are a lot of seals in your Ducatis - orings in the fuel pump, orings that seal the fuel pump assemble and valve seals. Ethanol breakdown has also been attributed to causing plastic fuel cell damage in Multistrada, Sport Classic and Plastic Fuel Celled Monsters.
