Front Axle Pinch Bolts - $60/set of 4
The
Stock axle pinch bolts on Ducatis are constructed of steel with a zinc
chromate finish. After a few years of use, the chromate finish wears off
leaving a mottled tarnish that gets worse over time. I've tried polishing
the bolts, but they soon retarnish. The only two things you can do to
correct the situation is to purchase a refinish kit to replate the bolt
or replace them. I chose to replace mine. The ti-bolts look great, and
the titanium will stand the test of time. Titanium isn't cheap, but you'll
find that the prices of our titanium are reasonable compared to the competition.
I do NOT sell stainless alternatives. Axle pinch bolts are special bolts
and shouldn't be replaced with inexpensive stainless bolts due to the
torque/load on the bolt.
